Help & Support
How do I open a different library?
The app starts in the public library. Tap the lock at the top right. On first use, set two different six-digit passcodes. After that, enter either passcode to open its encrypted library. Canceling returns to the public library. Do not import content that needs passcode protection into the public library.
How do I import and restore?
Tap + in Library to select multiple photos or videos, or in Files to select documents. Each photo or document can be up to 50 MiB; each video can be up to 1 GiB. Select items and tap Restore to add photos and videos to Photos, or save documents to a location you choose. Verify that imported files open correctly before deciding whether to manually delete any originals.
How do I view videos?
Tap a thumbnail to view it full screen and swipe left or right to change items. Photos support pinch and double-tap zoom. Videos play automatically; tap to show the back arrow at the top left along with playback, timeline, and mute controls. A video with no audio track cannot play sound.
How do I delete items?
Tap Select in Library or Files, choose items, tap Delete, and confirm. Deletion cannot be undone. It removes only copies in the current library, not originals in Photos or Files, and does not affect the other two libraries.
What happens when I leave?
Returning to the public library using the top-left button, or sending the app to the background, ends the encrypted-library session. Reopening an encrypted library requires its passcode. Backgrounding during import may stop items that have not yet been processed. Items already saved stay in their original library; reopen it to check.
What if I forget a passcode, change phones, or uninstall?
Open Backup & Security using the drive icon. Export each library separately with a backup password of at least 12 characters, not only numbers. On a new device, set up library passcodes, open the intended library, choose the backup, and enter its backup password. Restoring appends files; repeating it creates duplicates. Encrypted-library backups cannot be restored into the public library. Verify restored files before erasing the old phone. In an encrypted library, you can also change its six-digit passcode after verifying the current one; the other library and existing backup passwords are unchanged. There is no password recovery or direct phone-to-phone transfer feature.
What if import fails or storage is low?
Make sure originals are downloaded to your device, individual files are within the size limits, and the device has enough free storage. Try a smaller batch. Import results show how many succeeded; failed items never cause originals to be deleted. Check successful imports before trying again to avoid duplicates.
What if I cannot restore to Photos?
Find Personal File Library in iPhone Settings and check that adding to Photos is allowed. Damaged videos or unsupported formats may also fail to restore. Tap a file outside selection mode to preview supported documents such as PDF and text in the app. Preview is read-only; close it using the top-left back arrow. Unsupported formats can be restored to Files and opened with another app.
